About

Hi, I'm Mark Morris.

I write about AI trading for people who are curious, cautious, and tired of being shouted at by the internet.

I did not come to markets from a trading floor. I came to them the way most people do — late, self-taught, and with money I could not comfortably afford to lose.

My first year was expensive. I bought a course that promised a system. I followed signals from a group chat. I held a losing position far too long because selling felt like admitting something.

What eventually helped was not a secret strategy. It was structure: small position sizes, written rules, and tools that did the reading I did not have time for.

Why this blog exists

AI trading apps have made real institutional-style tooling available on a phone. That is genuinely useful. It is also a magnet for people selling dreams.

So I write the guides I wish I had found first. What the tools actually do. What they cannot do. How to start with an amount that will not hurt you if it goes to zero.

The rules I write by

No profit promises. No urgency countdowns. No pretending risk is a footnote — it is the main event, and any writer who skips it is selling you something.

I recommend RIFT because it is the phone-first AI app I use and it has a free tier you can test without a card. If you sign up through a link here, I may earn a commission. That never changes what I write, and I will tell you when something is not worth your time.

Where to start

If you are brand new, read the AI Trading Basics and Getting Started posts before anything else. Then paper-trade for a few weeks before a single real dollar moves.
